2010 Volunteers

World Vegan Day Melbourne is a non-profit event, run entirely by volunteers. We'd love to talk to you if you'd like to get involved.

There are various roles you may be interested in, depending on your availability and interests, such as:

• Helping promote the event. Seeking people from all areas to put up posters and leave flyers at veg friendly places and public spaces 1st week of October.

• Volunteering mainly on the day. Volunteers make the day run smoothly - by talking to people, providing directions, running activities, helping setup and pack-up. Minimum commitment is 2 hours training before the day, and 4 hours on the day (31st Oct).

• Joining a working group. We have teams looking at marketing, sponsorship, stalls, music, poster design, website, venue, media, etc. Minimum commitment is attending a monthly meeting, plus a few hours each week to progress your specific tasks. Any level of experience is welcome, as long as you are reliable and enthusiastic!

So if you are interested, please send an email to with the following information:

• Is there something you are specifically interested in working on, or which of the above roles suits you best?

• Do you have any particular skills you'd like to mention?

• Roughly how much time are you happy to commit?

• Your contact details (your mobile number & email if possible please)

Thank you to all the volunteers who will be donating their precious time leading up to and on the day of the event - know that you are part of a unique and critical mass that is of immense benefit to our community and the planet. You rock!
