On October 26th the World Vegan Day Festival will be held at the Abbotsford Convent, Abbotsford. The festival will be held between 10am and 5pm and entry is free.
Everyone, vegan and non-vegans, are invited to sample a lifestyle which truly has a positive impact on the environment. On offer will be a multitude of vegan products such as clothing; shoes; food and wine; cosmetics; pet care and cleaning products from 80 stalls. Festival attendees will also be entertained by live bands and informed by talks on health and Veganism and workshops on vegan cooking.
"It is a day for Vegans, those interested in the vegan way of life and all their friends to come together and learn how to live longer, kinder and with a smaller carbon footprint" said Event Manager Mark Doneddu.
Being a vegan involves a plant-based diet and endorses compassionate choices and sustainable consumption. It is a lifestyle with growing popularity and is followed by celebrities such as Daniel Johns of Silver Chair; Darren Cordeaux of Kisschasy and Andrew G, the co-host of Australian Idol.
