ITS 2007 AND WORLD VEGAN DAY IS ON AGAIN!

World Vegan Day is an annual celebration of the coining of the word 'vegan' in 1944 by Donald Watson and the founding of the world's first Vegan Society (UK). Officially World Vegan Day falls on November the 1st but in Melbourne we hold our festival on the last Sunday of October. This year the World Vegan Day festival will be held on October 28th. Our venue will be Phoenix Community Reserve, a park and community centre which is bounded by Rob Roy Road and Ivanhoe Grove in East Malvern (Melway Ref 69 D2).

Consider travelling by bicycle or public transport to the event. We will be running a shuttle bus from the East Malvern Station on October 28. There is also a free bus from Melbourne CBD to the nearby Chadstone shopping centre. For information on your travel options click here.

FREE ENTRY EVENT

World Vegan Day is a free entry event that showcases the Vegan lifestyle in a festival atmosphere. There is live music, show-bags, raffles and give-aways. This is a family friendly event, Phoenix Reserve boasts an incredible adventure playground. Dogs and other animals are welcome in the large outside component of the festival and will be having water and food stations for animals this year. Stall-holders display and sell Vegan, Cruelty Free and Animal Free products. Not For Profit organizations publicise their campaigns.

For all enquiries about becoming a stall holder, sponsorship, donations or anything at all contact us via email and we will provide answers to your quries. World Vegan Day is a very popular event and a great opportunity to market vegetarian/vegan food, animal free fabrics/consumables or products not tested on animals. There are several opportunities for participation:

Hire a stall space and sell product on the day.
Each year businesses prosper from their sales and exposure at World Vegan Day.

Become a major or affiliate sponsor of World Vegan Day.
Imagine your logo displayed prominently on this webpage. Receive advertising through our Website, public announcements and several thousand posters distributed around Melbourne and Victoria which are exhibited in target locations aimed at your target audience.

Donating product for our raffle, showbag and give-aways.
Businesses that cannot attend the day but would like to support the event and receive exposure for their product can donate to our raffle, showbags or give-aways. We acknowledge contributors with announcements on the day and on our website, as well as with the display of banners and posters at the event itself.

MEET LIKE-MINDED VEGANS
There will also be a tent set aside for vegans to have an opportunity to meet other likeminded vegans; YOU can choose what interest to write down and when as there will be a black-board for this purpose with time slots available for anyone who wants to, to fill in.
