2004 Activities

We want you all to have a great time at world Vegan Day, so we've packed the day with some exciting activities.
As well as stalls we have a program of live music, a vegan BBQ, lots of giveaways, a great vegan raffle, kids and adults face painting and races, karate demonstrations, a Trivia Trail and a great forum for meeting and interacting with new friends.

Music:

Live music just makes an event! This year we have three performing groups to lift your spirits and help you enjoy the day. See the music page for more details on the bands.

Races!:

This one's for the kids and the kids-at-heart. We have a program of races throughout the day including 'three legged' and 'potato and spoon' races
Adults: feeling goofy? Don't be shy, everyone can enter the races and there are prizes to be won!

Face painting:

We've discovered and purchased some totally vegan and non-animal tested face paints! So it's FREE face painting ahoy for everyone! We have a range of very bright colours in keeping with our festive occasion.

The Raffle:

Now what would an event like ours be doing without a raffle? So many vegan prizes to be won, and tickets are only $1 each (insane!!) See raffle page for more information.

Tai chi and Kung Fu Demonstration:

Having a healthy body and mind are all part of a good vegan lifestyle, The Box Hill Golden Age Vegetarian and Health Food store has kindly arranged a karate demonstration for us on the day.

Massage:

Looking for a decently priced massage? Wanting to REALLY relax and enjoy the festival? Come and experience this luxury at the Life Thyme Health and Healing tent. Not only do they give great massages and aromatherapy, their shop also stocks a range of delicious vegan food!

The BBQ:

Yum... Food. We love it as much as you do, that's why we'll be putting on a tasty vegan BBQ. With a burger or sausage and drink by gold coin donation, you can't go wrong! See the food page for more information on the companies who have generously supported our event with donations.

Trivia Trail:

We want to get you all communicating with each other, and part of that effort is our Trivia Trail. Posted up around the site will be numbered questions, fill in the answers and pop the completed form into the Trivia Trail box. We don't mind if you cheat! By all means talk to friends and strangers alike to find out the answers.
